The Caped Ladies

Ordinary women at day, super heroines at night.

We're just a few comic book loving women with a big passion - costumes.

This is probably not the prettiest picture we took, but it’s my absolute favourite. It looks like she falls and tried to reach for someone’s hand, but there is no one. I think it looks kinda.. as if she’s shocked. Someone betrayed or disappointed her. Agh, I have so many thoughts because of that picture! My fav! photography as always by Janet Drake Photography and Costuming

Batgirl suit base done & utility belt preview.. I still need to make it a little bit tighter and have to attach the sleeves, but I’m satisfied for now. That damn pleather was a hell to sew! The rest of my utility belt is also almost finished. :) I’m coming closer to the finished costume…!

Our Batgirl has her own tumblr now. Please make sure you add her there if you’re interested in her costume progress. Thanks!

We’ve just finished Bette Kane’s Batgirl mask. Pretty satisfied with the result so far. It’s so much fun to make masks!

A little help for those of you who are working on a M’gann M’orzz (Miss Martian), Martian Manhunter or a She-Hulk costume. I decided to try a few color shades until I settle for a color for my costume. I guess many of you are also worried about finding the right color, so.. I thought it might be a help for fellow costume lovers. In the following pictures you can see how the colors look on skin. The one on the left is Eulenspiegel’s “Perlglanz Grün”, while the one on the right is “Hexengrün”. The difference between the two color shades is quite big. I took the first two pictures in cold natural light and the last ones (the lower ones) in warm artifial light. As you can see “Perlglanz Grün” is more of a fir green, while “Hexengrün” is pretty light (but not less intense in person). Personally I like “Hexengrün” the most, because it looks fresh and intense. For those who are interested in the make up I used, here is their website: http://www.eulenspiegel-schminkfarben.de/ It’s German, but if you drop me a message, I’ll help you where I can. There are also Ebay shops that sell Eulenspiegel’s Aqua Make Up.
See you soon! xxo

We’d like to present you a new picture of our Batgirl! Tadaa! After coming across many problems during our work on the suit our Batgirl decided to remake the whole suit in the following days. Right now we are still sorting things out, but I wanted to share this picture before Batgirl decides to delete all the test pictures. :D

Say hi to our Batgirl!
Basically this is just a make up test we did with our Batgirl, but in the end we liked the picture so much that we decided to share it with you.
